Bond ThemeBond 2005

This James Bond theme incorporated key objectives for a software development firm. James Bond implied strength and connection, essential solutions and 005 tied to the year of the Conference and further provided an agent number for the CEO. James Bond’s technology gadgets were incorporated by using promotional items to help emphasize key areas of focus for this software development firm. The front cover of the invitation was sealed “Confidential” and included a letter from the CEO “AGENT 005” with creative copy to help bring clarity and relevance to the theme.

The opening video presentation incorporated imagery and sound effects from the 007 movie while executive staff members were introduced as key characters in the James Bond movie. A recognizable James Bond BMW entrance was staged for the CEO. The stage connected graphic images from the brochure to create a dramatic cutout backdrop of James Bond on the move.

The final evening ended with a “Casino Royale” party and included Casino games, martini bar/ice sculpture and fountain (shaken, not stirred).

Scoop SampleThe Scoop

Developed for a Software firm, The Scoop represented---Software Connecting Opportunity, Operations & Profits. Further, “The Scoop” is what everyone wants to know. It implied that the company has the inside track on information that is needed to better their quality. The company was also perceived as the facilitator for businesses to become more streamlined resulting in increased profits.

The Conference brochure resembled a tabloid style magazine layout. At the registration desk attendees received their “Press Pass” and other conference information they needed in order to get The Scoop.

The general session was communicated in talk show format. The stage was set talk show style like E! News, and included chairs and a news desk. A second set was incorporated for featured interviews with VPs making guest appearances.
During the opening of the first General Session, a make-up artist was making final touches to the News Anchor and the show director involved the audience by providing cues that the show was about to begin.

General Session Room Décor included clapboard centerpieces printed with sponsor logos.
The final evening dinner was a “Whose Line is it Anyway” show with Improv Entertainers.

Trip SampleIt’s A Trip

This theme was used to connect with the day-to-day routine of procurement professionals. A highway sign logo was used and graphic images of a road from the perspective of the driver were used on the brochure and then executed in the same way on the stage. The pre-function area included a simulated highway walking path with road signs along the way and a overhead highway structure to create the entrance and exit ramps.

Tables for the General Session included maps and miniature road signs with a center table stanchion holding the Conference logo sign.

Venture West

This theme and logo were very impactful in communicating Oklahoma’s sophisticated western heritage and innovative concepts that would attract venture capital investors to Oklahoma. As part of this three day Conference, attendees were invited to play golf at one of Oklahoma City’s most prestigious private country clubs, were treated to an authentic AWACS excursion and later ventured west of Oklahoma City to the home and ranch of a local entrepreneur for that extra special mid-western hospitality and sophisticated western entertainment and steak dinner.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

A franchised company used this theme to build teamwork among their franchise audience. Prior to the Conference, franchisees were divided into regions and invited to create team names. During the opening general session, predetermined teams were seated together and participated in team building activities. A Drum Line was invited to perform in the opening ceremony to help provide support to the opening commentary that was connected to a key word spelled out on the stage in 3 foot tall cutout letters. Following their performance, a video presentation was incorporated with clips from the movie “Drum Line” to further reinforce the importance of working as a team.

The Great X-Change

This theme was instrumental in supporting the need to exchange valuable information through presentation and networking during this two day conference. Graphics from the printed materials were brought to life with a moving “X” positioned center stage. Fog was pumped through the “X” as presenters entered and exited the stage. The Great X-Change was also communicated at the registration desk where the tables were arranged in the form of an “X.” The registration was a high traffic area for networking and a path was created from the registration table “X” that led attendees into the exhibit hall for a Great X-change with exhibitors.
